Project Overview

Located in the heart of Ankara at Çankaya Balgat, in the center of diplomacy and business, Meyra Palace Hotel is a prestigious establishment that combines Seljuk architecture with modern luxury.

There was a major disconnect between the hotel's magnificent physical presence and its digital representation. The existing website fell far short of expectations in terms of user experience and brand identity.

Within the scope of the project we handled the entire process, from user research and needs analysis to an original design language, professional photography and the final website design. Our goal was to rebuild Meyra Palace's architectural grandeur and premium service approach through a flawless digital experience.

Discovery and Needs Analysis

At the start of the project we analyzed the gap between the hotel's physical magnificence and its digital identity. The existing website was far from meeting the expectations of diplomatic delegations and senior business travelers. It wore the user out and diminished the brand's prestige.

Our user research showed that the target audience cared as much about speed and mobile accessibility as they did about the perception of luxury.

Strategic Planning and Interface Architecture

We designed the homepage not just as an entrance but as a discovery area that summarizes the hotel's entire world. We built the room, wedding and restaurant sections with strategic cards that direct the user straight to their goal. The idea of an Ankara tourism guide and social responsibility cards positioned the brand as more than a hotel, an actor that adds value to the city.

The discovery area concept was risky because it increased the page length. For users seeking fast action, reaching the booking call to action at the bottom of the page could become harder. We kept the visual hierarchy tight so users could reach the reservation focus without getting lost in this long flow.

Visual Identity and Design Language

We carried the hotel's Seljuk heritage into the digital interface with geometric forms inspired by Anatolian kilim patterns. To reflect the brand's gravitas we set navy and gold tones as the core palette and balanced this language with generous white space.

We kept a mobile-first approach at every stage. The magnificent desktop experience also works on mobile devices without compromising speed. With detailed room pages, users experience the feeling of luxury digitally before reservation.

Visual Impasse and Production Solution

As the design was nearing completion we realized that the hotel's photo archive did not reflect the brand's quality. The available visuals were far below the premium design language we had built. We proposed a professional shoot, the hotel management approved it and we carried out an intensive two-day photo shoot.
